Women's Diver Penn Captures Fifth UAA Athlete of the Week Award

New York University senior diver Abigail Penn garnered her fifth University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Diving Athlete of the Week award this season. All of the citations have come in the past six weeks.

Penn was named Diver of the Meet at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships, held December 1-3 in East Meadow, NY, after winning the one-meter (358.60 points) and three-meter (408.45) springboards with season-best scores.

Penn has already posted several NCAA qualifying scores in the one-meter and three-meter dives.

A native of Marietta, Georgia, Penn was also named the UAA Athlete of the Week four straight weeks. She was feted on October 31, November 7, November 14, and November 21.
